Proverbs 24:16

For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

Kyle

My name is Kyle Smith I was born in Bismarck, and lived most of my childhood west of Washburn. I went to Sunday school a few times but was more interested in doing things on the farm. As I grew up, getting trouble in school and teacher's being concerned about whether or not everything at home was okay for me wasn't uncommon.

I drank my first beer with my dad at the age of eight. We were fishing on the pontoon. Drinking didn't become a thing I desired to do, or wondered when the next time that I could until I was twelve. As time went on I kept living in the party scene, doing hard drugs and searching for answers that truthfully didn't matter. After multiple near-death experiences in the ICU, and too many trips to jail to count two different people in my life mentioned Teen Challenge to me. It wasn't until I went into the ICU after an overdose for the last time that I truly knew I needed to change and that drugs and alcohol weren't the answer.

I got accepted into North Dakota adult & Teen Challenge and was so excited I told all my party friends I was getting clean. After 2 weeks in the program the Holy Spirit came upon me and change my life forever I will never forget that moment. I'm so thankful that now I know that Jesus is the breath of life, and strength in my weakness. I'm now off probation haven't touched touched a drug or a drink and well over two years and Jesus is avidly chasing after me and is always there.
