13-Month Residential Faith-Based Program |
|
Life Care Faith-Based Residential Program:
In this program, students devote a
significant period of their energy to
recovery. During this meaningful and
powerful time, students learn the skills
they need to permanently recover from drug
and alcohol abuse. With the Bible as the
foundation, residents experience freedom
unlike any they’ve known before.
The program consists of four levels,
focusing on spiritual and emotional
wellness. While mastering life skills
through a variety of classes, a lay pastoral
counselor helps meet the spiritual needs of
each resident. Residents participate in
daily devotions, chapel, counseling and
choir. Medical and therapeutic needs are met
through resources established in the
community for students who qualify.

 |
Level One (8 weeks):
Residents come to understand the sources and
impact of dependency, anger, poor
relationships, family dynamics, and
depression. They begin to build their skills
in anger management, self-acceptance, and
making good choices. |
Level Three (12 weeks):
Students confront the pain and anguish of
their past. This newfound understanding
helps them prepare for a new life, free of
dependence on drugs or alcohol.
Relationships begin to heal through family
therapy conducted by a lay counselor. New
ways of coping are internalized, and a sense
of personal competence begins to emerge.
|
Level Two (18 weeks):
Through a series of classes called “Personal Studies for New Christians”,
students come to a deeper understanding of God’s love for them. As their
personal relationship with Christ grows, healing from the pain and abuse of the
past transpires. Students also continue to develop life skills, focusing on
specific personal and family issues. |
Level Four (12 weeks):
Residents focus on transitioning back into their local community. Through
structured learning situations, students discover a healthy approach to marriage
and home, financial management, citizenship, and problem solving. An emphasis on
growing in Christian maturity prepares the student for community life. |
|
Program costs are based on the resident’s ability to pay. |
